Minecraft Online Multiplayer With Friends

A month ago, Microsoft announces more than 50 free to play games that does not require xbox live gold which includes

Fortnite and Rocket League etc. In fact creating a party won’t require gold as well. i was quite confuse so i wanna ask

1) Can I play Minecraft online with my friend who is on different platform without gold ? Although minecraft was not listed on your “free to play” list.

2) If I cannot, will Minecraft can be played online with friends with no gold requirement in future ?

3) Will Apex Legends, Fortnite and many other games free to play forever ? Or it is just for a short period of time ?

I hope you guys will help me out with these questions

Thank You

If you have more questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Good day!

The Xbox Live Gold membership still functions the same way it did before, so for games that require gold you will need the subscription to play with other in different platforms . There is a specific list for the games that can be played online without the subscription , and there really isn’t a way to request games currently.

Oh and for Minecraft, we don’t know if it will be joining the list but the list is constantly changing so you never know!

Stow Your Credit Card And Personal Info

Before you do anything, you should know that you really don’t ever have to spend money on a website to play free games. Although some online gaming websites, such as Pogo, offer premium memberships with access to more games and extra features, they generally provide free games to play as well. And if a website asks for your credit card while promising not to charge it, get out of there the website is almost certainly a scam to get your credit card info.

It’s more common for websites to ask for your email address to create a player profile. This is generally safe and may even unlock additional features on the site, but it’s also rarely necessary to play games. If you don’t feel comfortable giving out your information, or if a website seems sketchy and doesn’t turn up many search results, move on.

Whats The Difference Between Bedrock And Java Editions

Learn How to Play Minecraft with Friends

When youre setting up a game or choosing which version of Minecraft to play, picking the correct Minecraft edition is vital. There are two main Minecraft versions for multiplayer: Bedrock edition, and Java edition.

The Bedrock edition is the only edition available for console users . It has limited modding support, and youll usually need to pay to get access to more mods. However, its the only way to connect players across different consoles and a PC.

PC users get an option between the two. If all your friends use a PC, wed recommend the Java version. It doesnt limit mods, can enable hardcore mode for no-respawn gameplay, and is updated first with more developmental features.

Option Three: Host It At Homeyour Hardware Your Hassle

  • Pros: Your only expense is electricity. You have total control over everything.
  • Cons: You have to install and configure everything. You supply the hardware. Theres no quick start or friendly dashboard.
  • Best for: Parents very comfortable with Minecraft and computers in general .

If you consider yourself the geeky type, and youre not afraid to manage every aspect of running a Minecraft server for your kids , then you can run a Minecraft server right out of your house.

On the upside: you have total control over the entire process, you can choose whatever server software you want, the files are stored right at home, and all the game play takes place right at home too. We have guides for setting up the vanilla Minecraft server platform available from Mojang or a third party server platform like Spigot that supports plugins.

On the downside: if you want the server up 24/7, you have to leave a computer on 24/7 . You need good enough hardware to run the server smoothly in the first place. Youll need to fiddle with setting up port forwarding rules to allow external access to the server , and while youre at it, youll likely need to set up a Dynamic DNS address so their friends can easily find the server even if your home IP address changes.

How To Join A Minecraft Realm

Java Edition: If you’ve received an invitation to join your friend’s Realm, open Minecraft and navigate to Minecraft Realms.

At the top of the screen, to the right of where it says Minecraft Realms, is a small envelope icon. This envelope contains any pending invites you’ve received click it to join your friend’s Realm.

Bedrock Edition: Ask for the invite code from the creator of the Realm. This should look like “”we only need the characters after “”.

Launch Minecraft, then click Play. Head to Friends and click on Join Realm. Enter the invite code you received from the Realm owner and click Join. You’re all set!

You can either play with your friends or connect with over 126 million gamers who regularly play Minecraft.

A Personal Server Hosted By Minecraft Thats Always Online

Minecraft Realms is a paid multiplayer server hosting service, which creates and hosts servers for you rather than creating your own. These servers can be used by you and up to ten other players on Java, though you can invite many more. Also, unlike self-hosted servers which shut down as soon as you go offline, realm servers are always open, so anyone whose been approved can access the server at any time.

Option : Use A Hosting Service

As you may already know, we at AleForge are among the companies that can offer yet another option. By setting up big server banks and hiring expert staff, we can actually host servers for you!

Hosting services like ours are a great middle-ground between self-hosting and accessing public servers.

On the one hand, there is almost none of the complicated setup that comes with hosting your own server. All you need to do is figure out if you’re running Bedrock or Java edition. Beyond that, you pay us to do all the heavy lifting for you.

On the other hand, the server is largely yours to control. We’ve even made it easy to set up most modpacks! We have data backups too, so progress is easily saved and you can be protected against any file corruption.

Maybe the single biggest advantage of this option is the hardware running the servers. Our machines are far better than most home machines and are designed specifically for running servers. We’re set up to handle a server being seriously pushed to its limits!

You’ll notice monthly pricing scales well too. If you only want to play with a few friends on occasion, you probably will only need Creeper tier or even less. No need to pay for the power you won’t use!

On the other end of the spectrum, we have options for folks who want to play with dozens of other players with our Enderman and Dragon tiers. If you’re looking to have a server that you’d need a huge, beefy machine to run, we’ve got you covered.
