How To Use Minecraft Cross
Minecraft now spans millions of devices, unified via cross-platform multiplayer attributed to its shared “Bedrock” engine. The unification breaks long-established barriers between platforms, including home console rivals, the Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Here’s how to get started with cross-play for Minecraft today.
How To Create Minecraft Cross
The process of creating cross-play sessions is the same as any other Minecraft multiplayer game â set up your world, and you’re ready to go. For those with an existing Minecraft Realm from other platforms, these steps can be ignored.
Your Minecraft world will now start and be open to other players.
Where To Find Redstone
Redstone ore blocks are found in the bottom 16 layers of the Overworld. Use either an iron or diamond pickaxe to mine the block.
To find iron or diamonds, you’ll need a stone pickaxe and a torch . Once you have a torch and a stone pickaxe, dig down four or five layers to find iron ore or diamonds. Use your stone pickaxe to mine the blocks. Once you’ve created at least one iron or diamond pickaxe, dig down really deep to find raw redstone.
Hint It’s a lot easier to find iron ore, diamonds, and ultimately redstone, by finding caves that are already built into the landscape.
Each block of redstone ore, when mined, will drop four or five pieces of redstone. If you’re not into mining that deep, you can also get redstone from killing witches, trading with villagers, or looting chests found throughout the world. There are also 15 pieces of redstone in every jungle temple.

Put Two Chests Together To Make One Big One
You only need five wood planks to create a basic wooden chest. So, you can make a couple of them pretty early on. Chests provide stationary inventory slots so you can collect more stuff.
At your homestead, Create two chests and set them right next to each other to turn it into one large chest. This gives you plenty of inventory space right near your crafting table, where you need it the most.
The Secrets Of Biomes

Minecraft divides the Overworld into biomes, which are essentially connected areas with a variety of specific features, adding a sense of exploration to your game. Different biomes are home to various resources and animals, as well as multiple NPC buildings, like temples, huts, and villages. Here’s a guide to the biomes you’ll find in Minecraft!

How To Get All The Tools You Need Before Entering Adventure Mode
Did you know you can change your world’s game type, even after you’ve started playing? If you want to enter into Adventure mode with everything you need to have the best game ever, start off in Creative mode, add every tool and weapon you can fit into your hot bar. Armor up with the best armor, and then quit the game.
Reselect the world you originally created in Creative mode, and switch it to Adventure Mode. All of those tools, weapons, and armor will carry over in your inventory so you can start the adventure with everything you need. Switch back to Creative mode when you need to re-up your items and fill up your hot bar again! Eventually, you’ll run out of items in Creative mode, but you’ll be able to get yourself set up proper before you deplete your resources.
How To Craft All The Things
As the name of the game might suggest, a big part of doing just about anything in this game is gathering the parts to build things that make your life in this world a little easier. This includes weapons, armor, tools, and, in advanced cases, portals to other dimensions. Once you get the hang of crafting, the way you play will change entirely. You’ll start thinking about resources as you travel, which makes a big difference for a lot of people and winds up being a ton of fun!

Seeding Games: How To Load A Specific World Build
When you’re building your first world, you might notice a little section for entering a “seed.” A seed is a code that will direct Minecraft to populate a specific environment, like a world with nothing but ice and snow or one that is completely uninhabited except for a single sheep. These worlds are oftentimes created by other players and are distributed throughout the Minecraft community. They are usually coded for specific platforms, and will populate differently when used on a different console than the original device. But, they will still have a similar output across different platforms.
You can find the unique seed ID for a world you’ve created on its summary page. Start a new game, then select your world. The seed ID will be listed under the world’s name. Share this seed ID with others so they can play their own game with an identical set up.
Getting Started With Crafting
The first thing you should craft are some wood planks, which can be accomplished without using a crafting table. Find some nearby trees and press the RZ button to mine wood from them with your bare hands. Gather at least 12 pieces of raw wood to get started.
Once you have enough raw wood, you can craft the wood planks in your crafting interface. Press the Y button to access your crafting interface. You can switch group types by pressing the L or R button to navigate to the next tab. Use the left joystick to scroll through items and the A button to craft items.
Press the A button again to create more wood planks until the raw wood runs out.
The new material will automatically transfer to your inventory
The next thing you’ll want to craft is a crafting table, which allows you to craft more intricate recipes:
Press the A button to create the crafting table.
The crafting table will automatically transfer to your inventory.

Minecraft Live : Where To Watch What To Expect And Everything You Need To Know
Minecraft Live 2021 is almost upon us, and this Saturday 16th October we’ll get to find out what’s in store for everyone’s favourite block-mining video game.

Switch Switch Lite And Their Games
Nintendo has stated that both the Switch and the Switch Lite will use the same physical game cartridges. As long as a game is playable in handheld mode, it will be compatible with the new handheld console. If you already have Minecraft on your Switch, you will be able to use it on your new Switch Lite as well.
Nintendo has no intention to make exclusive games for either the Switch or Switch Lite. This becomes apparent when you realize you can transfer not just your physical copies but also digital as well. According to the support page, “software purchased for download can be played on either console as long as the console is linked to the same Nintendo account.”
What does this mean? Yes, you can play Minecraft on your Switch Lite, and your Switch, and you can seamlessly swap between the two if you’d like! For more detailed information about transferring saved game data Nintendo has a helpful support page on the matter.

Blocks Not Compatible With Redstone

Pretty much every block in Minecraft will let you put redstone on it and will conduct power. A good general rule to follow is if you can’t see through it, it works. There are, however, some exceptions:
- Chests
- Slabs
- Stairs
If you’re building a contraption and can’t figure out why your power isn’t where it’s supposed to be, ensure all the blocks you’re using are compatible with redstone.

Head To A Swamp Biome During A Full Moon To Find A Lot Of Slime Balls
Slime balls will eventually be very valuable for creating sticky pistons and Slime blocks make it possible to move blocks around that are adjacent to it. It takes nine slime balls to make one slime block, so you’re going to want to collect as many as possible.
Head to a Swamp biome when there is a full moon to make the most out of the night. Swamps are brimming with slime during a full moon. You’ll be able to collect all the things in just a single night. Be sure to be properly armored before you make the trip, though. When attacked Slim splits into smaller Slime, making it seriously difficult to kill ’em all without getting hit.

Minecraft For Switch & Switch Lite
The port from PC to Switch went well with few changes. One of the most significant changes is the limitation of your world size. Moving from the PC and the larger consoles, they had to reduce the maximum world size to Medium. In terms of Minecraft, the medium is still quite large, but it is something to keep in mind. The draw distance was shortened just a bit for handheld as well. Neither of which has been an issue for me, especially considering the game runs at a clean 60 fps even in handheld.
So, if you want to play Minecraft on the Switch Lite, grab that handheld and build your heart out.

Minecraft For Nintendo Switch: The Ultimate Starter Kit
One of the best things about Minecraft is the need to explore in order to fully understand everything in the game. There’s no starter manual for new players, and this game contains far more than the colorful blocks you see on the surface. This is a game for explorers, creators, and adventurers alike, as long as you know where to look for things.
To help you get pointed in the right direction, we’ve assembled a quick walkthrough of the more complicated beginning topics. With these tools, you’ll be able to venture forth and accomplish anything!
How Redstone Works
Redstone is used in plenty of recipes, but using it to create contraptions is where things really get fun. When you place redstone on the ground, it creates a line of redstone dust that can transmit power. It’s sort of like an electrical line. When you have a power source at one end of the redstone line, it will travel across it
Redstone dust can turn 90 degrees.
Redstone dust can climb one block at a time.
You must attach a power source to the redstone in order to power it. Power can be transmitted up to 15 blocks away. The light in the redstone dust dims until the last piece becomes completely unpowered.
Power carried by redstone will transmit to blocks adjacent to it.
Some power sources also give power to other blocks. As you can see below, the blocks around the block the lever is attached to also receive power.
If one of the redstone lamps that are lit up were, say, a piston, it would be extended because it is receiving power.

How Can I Add Add
I’ve been wanting to add some addons to my MCBE on Nintendo Switch and I’m not sure how to go about it. can anyone help?
- gizmoMar 29 at 16:42
Yes, you can add addons to minecraft bedrock on switch, the thing is, it’s a bit complicated, and I don’t have a switch so I don’t know much about them, but here’s a tutorial someone made:
The tutorial explains how you would add addons to your minecraft game, it essentially tells you to use your switch SD card, insterit it into your computer and then add the addons there, then adding the SD card back into the switch now with the added addons.
How To Create A World

When you start playing Minecraft for the first time, you’ll want to create your first world. You can create a world from scratch, using texture packs of your choosing, or by selecting from pre-made worlds, like Super Mario World.
When you create a world from scratch, start by giving it a name. Then, select the game mode from Survival or Creative. If you select Survival, you’ll be vulnerable to attack from other creatures in the world, as well as other players if you’ve created an online game with others.
You can then select your level of difficulty from Peaceful, Easy, Normal, and Hard. Each level provides different adventures with increasingly harder means to survive, even in Creative mode.
You can select a texture pack from 14 options. Six are included with the base price of the game. The other eight can be played as a trial version, but you won’t be able to save the game. When you try to save, you’ll be offered the option to purchase the texture pack, but you’ll still lose all of your progress. So, don’t spend too much time building stuff using one of the premium textures because you’ll lose all of your hard work, even if you decide to buy the texture pack.
Texture packs included with the game:
- Classic
- Plastic
- Steampunk
There are a few more advanced options you can select before you create a world. Select More Options to choose advanced world creation options.

Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition
Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition is the most unique version of Minecraft across the various gaming platforms. You can play it on your big screen TV, complete with a multi-button game controller, or take it with you on the go, complete with touch screen control options. If you’re going for all the achievements in Survival Mode, or just want to explore the beautiful pre-made kingdoms in the Mario Mash-up world, we’ve got the tips and trick you need to make your gameplay shine.
Technical Features And Game Modes
Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition supports up four players in split screen multiplayer mode, eight players in local wireless mode, where up to eight Nintendo Switch consoles can be connected for local multiplayer game play, and up to eight players in online multiplayer mode. Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition takes advantage of the Nintendo Switch’s different styles of play. The game can be played on TV mode, “Table Top”, and “Handheld” modes. Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition runs at 60fps and 1080p resolution in TV mode, and 720p in handheld, and table top modes. All game modes also run at the respective resolutions and performance .
The game supports the Nintendo Switch’s touchscreen when in Table Top/Handheld modes in similar fashion Minecraft: Wii U Edition supported the GamePad’s touchscreen. A player can navigate all in-game menus, make selections of all options in the menu including slider bars, select items from the “hotbar” , and scrolling and navigating the in-game crafting menus. However, just like with its Wii U counterpart, the game does not allow for direct item selection of the inventory screen through the touchscreen. In order to manage the inventory through the touchscreen, a player must hover the cursor over the item with the controller stick as if it were a PC mouse, then manage the inventory on the touchscreen with the commands buttons on the bottom on the screen.
