How Much Does Minecraft Cost On Nintendo Switch Lite

The Cheapest Nintendo Switch Lite Bundles And Deals In September 2021

Minecraft Caves & Cliffs Update: Part I – Official Trailer – Nintendo Switch

It’s all very much the same this week when it comes to finding a Nintendo Switch Lite deal. The budget handheld doesn’t get discounted much as it’s already the cheaper option, but there’s still money to be saved when buying from the right place. We’ve rounded up all the best offers on the Nintendo Switch Lite below to save you searching.

The good news is discounts can be strong, but if you’re hoping for a Nintendo Switch Lite bundle then that’s a little trickier. More are being made available throughout the life of the handheld, but they regularly offer only the smallest savings.

However, some of the best prices we’ve seen this year for just the console on its own are also up for grabs. Most of these are limited to the UK, so US buyers will find Amazon is the best place to shop. There you’ll find Nintendo Switch Lite bundles with discounted memory cards included.

At least stock is more widely available now and long gone are the days of struggling to find a console to buy.

The cheaper handheld console is perfectly designed for smaller hands, and for those who want to enjoy the latest offerings from Nintendo for far less. Plus, we do see higher value bundles on this option then even the best Nintendo Switch deals can provide.

Minecraft Dungeons On Switch: The Good

Minecraft Dungeons on Nintendo Switch is still very much Minecraft Dungeons. The controls, gameplay, and features all line-up with the Xbox and PC versions, although the typical “A” button controls are swapped on the Nintendo Switch when compared to the Xbox controller, which threw me a bit to start with. You can sign in with your Microsoft Account to get your friends lists up, using a website link in-game, to help you set up multiplayer sessions.

Gameplay-wise, Minecraft Dungeons is a fun and accessible take on the ARPG style set by Diablo. Many of Minecraft’s signature mobs return, such as the iconic creeper and the game’s various undead creatures. Alongside them, there are some new mobs like the Necromancer, that can spawn tons of undead mobs, and Wraiths, which can spew fire across the map. If a spider web lands on you in the fire, it can get you killed pretty quickly.

Therein lies the best thing about Minecraft Dungeons. While it’s accessible and easy to grasp, it can be quite challenging if you ramp up the difficulty. Naturally, you’ll get better gear for doing so as well, becoming a satisfying loop of risk and reward.

      A great buy….

My son is literally playing the game as I write this. It was the one thing he actually asked for as my son isn’t greedy and ask for tons of gifts at holidays. The game was fairly priced, cheaper than other big named retailers. Overall I was pleased with my purchase.

Which Nintendo Switch Switch V Switch Lite V Switch Oled

No matter which Nintendo Switch you choose, you will be able to play the vast majority, if not all, of current or future Switch games. The only caveat is that, as a handheld-only console, the Switch Lite is not capable of playing games designed for motion gameplay using individual Joy-Cons. The other two consoles can play all Switch games without exception.

The Nintendo Switch and Switch OLED models are capable of playing in handheld and TV modes. You can also use either to play multiplayer games by using their respective screen’s tabletop stand and each removable Joy-Con as an individual controller.

They both come with a dock that offers a HDMI output, plus USB ports for connection to external gamepads and other accessories. When plugged into a dock, Switch games are presented in up to 1080p and 60 frames-per-second. When used in handheld mode, they run at 720p and 60fps.

The Switch Lite is not compatible with a dock, nor can it plug into a TV. However, its screen is capable of 720p and 60fps too.

Read on to find out what each model is all about, and also consider our dedicated Switch v Switch OLED and Switch v Switch Lite comparisons.

Now officially available, the Nintendo Switch OLED is the latest edition to the family.

Consider it a slight upgrade to the original Switch, but not perhaps as different as some might have hoped.

How Is The Nintendo Switch Lite Different

The Nintendo Switch Lite cannot be used to play games on your TV. It does not come with a dock and you can’t plug an HDMI cable into it from your TV. There are no plans to release a separate dock to make it compatible with TVs and you can not use the dock that comes with an original Nintendo Switch either.

The screen on the Switch light measures 5.5-inches across compared to 6.2-inches on the full-sized Nintendo Switch – both display a 720p resolution.

A small number of Nintendo Switch games are not fully playable in handheld mode so they won’t work properly with a Switch Lite either unless you use an additional controller like the Pro controller or a pair of Joy-Cons . So anything that needs to be played in docked or tabletop mode is going to be a bit of a pain. We’re mainly talking about titles like Mario Party, 1-2 Switch, Fitness Boxing, Just Dance and Nintendo Labo.

Until you pick up some Joy-Cons you’ll also have zero access to any sort of optional motion controls either which is a shame for using weapons like bows and swords in games like Zelda or Skyrim. Once you buy those additional Joy-Con controllers, you’re very close to the price of a regular Nintendo Switch which comes with a pair anyways. There are no rumble vibration features in the Lite either. So far, we haven’t seen any Nintendo Switch Lite bundles offering these controllers in with the price but if we hear of any you can bet they’ll be right here.

Is Minecraft Dungeons Worth Playing On Nintendo Switch

Minecraft Dungeons is a fun game, with an accessible approach to the ARPG format. The game is available on virtually every platform, including Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4. We’ve mostly been playing the game on Xbox and PC as we pick through all of the game’s details for our coverage, and thought we’d try out the Nintendo Switch version on the side.

How does it stack up? Let’s take a look.

Should I Buy A Regular Nintendo Switch Or A Lite

Minecraft on Nintendo switch lite #1

The Nintendo Switch Lite would arguably be a great purchase for families that already own a regular Nintendo Switch and multiple people regularly want to play at once . And if some of them generally play in handheld mode away from the TV most of the time already then even better. You can also use your regular Switch controllers to reclaim the motion controls on games too.

If you don’t own a Switch already, the lower price point is very tempting, but we think you’d be missing out on some of the Switch’s best features by removing motion controls from games. And once you’ve paid for a set of controllers too you’ve basically paid the price of a regular Switch.

Not being able to play games on your TV is really going to hurt when you fire up gorgeous classics like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, The Witcher 3 or Super Mario Odyssey. These are titles that are much more enjoyable on the big screen at home.

If you travel a lot though and are going to spend most of your Switch gaming time on a commute or in the back of a car, then the Switch Lite might be a solid pick for you or the family.
