The Alienware m15 R3 is made from durable and long-lasting components, with an exterior casing made from magnesium alloy, copper, and steel. This laptop also includes a proprietary cooling system, called Cryo-Tech, which keeps everything cool to the touch and protects fragile internal components from overheating. We loved the gaming-centric specs, which include a 10th generation Intel Core i7 processor and 16GB of DDR4 ram.
The high-end specs on offer with this laptop do make it come in at a higher-than-average price, so take that into consideration before making a purchase. Also, the battery can only run for a couple of hours with all of the settings maxed out for gaming. Its a great option for anyone in search of the best gaming laptop for school.

Best Minecraft Pc Settings For Optimum Performance
Some players assume that a game with simple and basic graphics like Minecraft would be easy to run on any computer, even the ones with low-end specifications. However, while Minecrafts graphics are not very demanding, the sheer size of the game and the fact that it renders an entire world for you, makes it a moderately resource-heavy game.
But that does not mean there arent any tricks that you can apply to optimize the FPS rate and performance of the game. With just a few tweaks to the in-game settings, you can run Minecraft pretty smoothly on even a low-end PC. Of course, this does mean that you might have to sacrifice on cleaner graphics.

Though the SSD of the Acer Swift is large and speedy, the 8GB of ram that ships with this laptop could place a limit on the level of multitasking youll be able to get away with. Acer Predator Helios 300
Acer Predator Helios 300 is a powerful gaming laptop for professional gamers. However, it isnt a wise decision to buy a hefty device like this for just playing Minecraft, but you can consider picking this laptop if you also do lots of other gaming. Eventually, it fits fine for AAA titles, which can be easily played at medium to high settings. Speaking of the specs, the laptop comes with a compelling 11th generation Intel i7-11800H octa-core CPU, having 16 threads with hyperthreading support. Gaming Laptop Deals: How To Save Money
In short: For the best value, shop for a gaming laptop thats at least three months old.
Laptops for gaming drop in price more significantly than any other type of laptop, especially once theyve been on the market for a few months. Its almost never worth buying a gaming laptop when it first launches.
This is particularly true when a laptop is showcasing new technology such as a recently-launched graphics card. Theres often a premium on picking one of these models in the first few months of it going on sale. Its also always worth scouting the market to get used to how much laptops cost so you can better spot a deal when they come around.
Gaming With Intel Hd Amd And Nvidia: Dedicated Vs Integrated Graphics
In short: Look for dedicated graphics from AMD and Nvidia for a better chance at great gaming performance.
To get the best gaming experience, you should pay careful attention to the graphics capabilities of any laptop you consider buying. It’ll have either dedicated or integrated graphics.

The Best Cheap Laptop For Minecraft: Acer Swift 3
Acer offers the Swift 3 with several different configurations, and based on that, it could be far from a cheap laptop. Were recommending one of the new Tiger Lake-powered machines, which clock in around $700. Sporting Intels latest 11th-gen processors, the Swift 3 can handle Minecraft without breaking a sweat.
Our recommended configuration comes with an Intel i5-1135G7 processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD. The processor features the new Intel Iris Xe graphics, which offer enough power for light gaming in a thin and light machine. The graphics chip is integrated with the CPU, which is usually a no-no for gaming. However, Xe has enough power to hold 60 fps in AAA games at lower resolutions and can tear through games like Minecraft.
The keyboard is a high point, too, especially considering the price, and the battery life is decent compared to other laptops in this price bracket. The Swift 3 isnt a gaming laptop, so dont expect top performance across all games, but it packs enough power to run Minecraft and most other games at reasonable settings.
If you want a slant toward gaming, consider the Swift 3 outfitted with an AMD Ryzen 4000 processor. Theyre a bit older, so tracking one down is harder than the Tiger Lake models. Theres also the Acer Nitro 5, which is slightly more expensive but comes with a dedicated graphics card.
Regardless of the model you choose, the Acer Swift 3 is an excellent laptop for Minecraft.
Help Me Laptop: I Need A Cheap Laptop For Minecraft
ByRami Tabari22 December 2018
The holidays are upon us once again, and you have some last-minute shopping to do. What better present is there to offer your loved ones than the gift of Minecraft. Not outdated, unmoddable console-Minecraft, but glorious PC Minecraft. It just so happens that a Tom’s Guide forum user asked our help in finding the best cheap laptop for Mojang’s popular world-building game.
christinahoward24 writes, “Any recommendations for a cheap laptop or tablet that will mainly be used for playing Minecraft, Roblox, and watching YouTube. It’s a Christmas gift for a kid. I was thinking about a Chromebook, but I read that you can’t play Minecraft on a Chromebook.
Don’t worry, Christina, we got you covered. While Minecraft isn’t graphically demanding, it devours RAM faster than Google Chrome does, so that’ll be one of the main factors when choosing the right laptop. Also, you’ll want to check out our top cheap gaming mice, since you can’t game on a touchpad alone.
Minecraft System Requirements
Mojang’s Minecraft: Java Edition system requirements are listed on its website as such:
You may want to take these requirements with a grain of salt, mostly because this covers basic Minecraft, and that’s about it. Popular mods, such as SkyFactory or All the Mods, are known to gobble up tons of RAM.

Can A Laptop Run Minecraft
Yes, though youll need to make sure the processor and dedicated graphics card are up to snuff. Minecraft excels with a powerful processor, due to running in Java. Low-powered laptops with minimal processing power will still run the game, but the framerate will be low and the overall experience will be lessened.
Can I Play Minecraft On A Chromebook
Minecraft will not run on a Chromebook under default settings. Because of this, Minecrafts system requirements list that it is compatible only with Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems. Chromebooks use Googles Chrome OS, which is essentially a web browser. These computers are not optimized for gaming.

Ultimate Performance: Alienware M15 R6
If you’re interested in the Java Edition with custom shaders or the Bedrock Edition RTX enhancements, something like the Alienware m15 R6 with NVIDIA RTX 30-series dedicated GPUs and 11th Gen Intel Core H-series CPUs will offer the performance necessary to get the game looking as good as possible. It’s also cut out to handle just about any other game when you’re not in a Minecraft world.
Whats The Best Type Of Machine For Playing Minecraft
Jack Schofield looks at the options including tablets, laptops, desktops and games consoles
My son wants a computer to play the full version of Minecraft for his birthday. What are the options? Is there a tablet that can cope with the full version , or can you recommend a laptop? I am hoping to find something on a tight budget. Virginia
I answered a similar question last year , but it has since been raised again so theres clearly an unmet need for advice. Im going to try to provide a broader answer.
One of the problems evident from the Minecraft Wiki is that benchmarks are all over the place. Apparently similar systems can run at 3fps or 300fps. Real-world performance can vary dramatically depending on the settings chosen for graphics, lighting, textures, render distance, the number of mods and plug-ins installed, and the screen size. Adults, let alone children, may not be aware that free enhancements have a performance cost.
Then theres the subjective aspect. One person sets a render distance of five chunks and thinks Minecraft is just fine at 30fps while another sets a render distance of 12 chunks and thinks 150fps isnt good enough.
My general advice is to buy something with a graphics card rather than integrated graphics . The graphics card seems to be the single most important factor in Minecraft performance. Also, aim for a PC with a 64-bit operating system and 4GB or more memory, and make sure you install the 64-bit version of Oracles Java.
